isolation (2020)
Concept
Our goal was to express the year 2020 experiences of constantly receiving negative news, being anxious about the world's uncertainty, and feeling alienation during self-isolation. During the creative process my teammate and I decided to make each letter or two of the word “isolation” a mini-game corresponding to the problems of an individual, couple, society, or the world. “isolation” might help to look at the traumatic experience from a fresh perspective, deconstruct, and redefine it in a safe digital environment.
Gameplay

i: Drag any item inside the trash can to get rid of the clutter unbearable during self-isolation.
so: Press on the button to try to delete never-ending notifications until you find a better solution.

la: Use WASD to wander around deprived of any information. How long should you wait to go out?
t: Choose different buttons with actions to end isolation sooner. Each combination gives unique consequences.
